When I was a little boy my brother said to me I went down the Gala Fair and crushed my enemies It diminishes his glory but I think you ought to know The enemy's a lucky dip that's 50p a go CHORUS Happiness is Happiness is Happiness is Happiness is (an inflatable) Happiness is Happiness is Happiness is Happiness is (an inflatable hammer) It started with inflation, it ended with a fight And so resembled Weimar more than we thought it might It ended with some bleeding, as Mum expressed concern Brand new antique carpets take a fucking age to earn CHORUS Of course this all means nothing now Of course this all means nothing now Of course this all means nothing now Because everyone died in the fire

I am the title character. Bring out your mortals! Being alive, they will be dead soon anyway, May as well provide a chortle. (Hahaha!) Stifle your loss! Stifle your loss! Mother, I want it, I need, it's restorative. Mother, unhand me, Those terms are perjorative. It's precious, it's giving, it's something worth owning, It will arouse my contemporaries at clonings.

Bands are like buses And buses are shit Bands are like buses There'll be another one in a bit CHORUS I sunk the ark, oh yeah I've never liked unicorns I sunk the ark, why not? All it had on it was recursion A lot I'll steal what isn't nailed down Jesus got lucky I'll try to put a spin on it Something my own The main one from that band you like I've seen him before We threw him on the zeitgeist He's started to turn CHORUS

Lead with elbows Leave you elbows In a circle-themed large group Clothes co-ordinate Limbs less so In a circle theme If you're flailing And you're finding There's spaces In the music It hasn't charted though Still use 'c' 'h' to spell 'Tune' Lead with elbows Lead with elbows In a circle theme CHORUS I've got Red Stripe in hand I've got elbows to dance I've got no shame left If pushed to describe my dancing Feet are heavy Arms are light Throw my body To the floor but Crucially I've always missed Lead with elbows Lead with elbows Not a fighting thing Lead with elbows Lead with elbows Perhaps defensive of repressed If you play Brassneck If you play Shatner I'll bring my elbows to the floor CHORUS I've got OVD in hand I've got both my knees to dance I've got no shame left And everyone thinks he looks daft on the dancefloor Everyone thinks he looks daft But everyone thinks he looks daft on the dancefloor Everyone thinks he looks daft Everyone thinks he looks daft

It's summer You don't have to wear a scarf It's summer You don't have to wear a scarf Say Chins is over-rated Chins is over-rated Hey There's no-one in this town but us There's no-one in this town but us Say Chins is over-rated Chins is over-rated Hey

Wanna be there, At your dad's funeral. If that ain't romance, Suit yourself. I'm not finished yet, the words are wrong. I can make them to a point, but never sung. So I wrote this by rote, the thoughts I crashed, 'cause I am nothing more than A tired autograph. So I'll wait at the graveside (as you do) And try to pour confetti into your shoe. If you're worried that I'm worried, I wouldn't worry 'Cause then they'll worry that you're worried And it keeps recurring. So the street dance tos-and-fros, We'll ignore it, And I won't tip my toes And I won't lean forward (not too forward, no no) I'll take my time, And hone my props, Get some distance 'tween the angels And the sound of ticking clocks. So I'll wait at the graveside (as you do) And try to pour confetti into your shoe.

Oh my! She's aloof, and he's aloof. Oh my! She's a wolf And he's a sheep in wanker's clothing; Your ilk are ripe for stoning, I'll bring the rock. You were sadly spent in Kent, Daddy owned a park in Berkshire, Strove to grow in Kelvingrove, And there's probably a posh part of Wales. Oh my! She's aloof, and he's aloof. Oh my! She's a wolf And he's a sheep in wanker's clothing; Your ilk are ripe for stoning, I'll bring the rock.

I bought it as an impulse purchase I was in a bargain bookstore looking for comics It was something that I just had to own If only to prove that it really existed I've never taken it out of the box There's yet to be a reason for me to do so Cos I live in a top floor flat Plus I'm six foot three and I've got no balance CHORUS In a future ruled by robots Why the hell would we need a pogo stick? Could it be an emblem of freedom? Is that just what Skynet want us to think? What happened at the meeting that day? Does this sort of thing actually happen quite often? Can you get a Harry Potter bidet? Or a boomerang based on the works of Vin Diesel? Who job is it to come up with this? Do they even end up taking their work home? They're supposed to look after their kids Instead they're building Nick Cage Spirograph CHORUS

Picture the scene: There's Billy Connolly, Rizzo the Rat, The Great Gonzo, and that guy who made an idiot of himself at the award ceremony. They're all there. Billy Connolly has information to divulge but in keeping with the tone of the film he can't do it normally no he can't do it normally So he says: Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Oh Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Actually he only says it once but you get the idea. He also grabs Gonzo's comically large nose during this scene. In many ways it's a masterclass. Said nose is already funny, repetition works well as does silliness, so when Gonzo next speaks it's more nasal than usual, and he says: I'm not Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim He's Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim I'm not Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim He's Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim I'm not Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim He's Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim I'm not Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim He's Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim I'm not Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim He's Jimmy Jim Jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Jim.

I'm driving a house I'm flying a tree I'm going to teach a unicorn to sew I'm persuading the government to adopt a range of Progressive social welfare policies I'm going to lick my elbow I just licked my elbow I tamed the jabberwocky and I taught it empathy I wrote a play Just the other day It's got vital observations about our society Yes I invented chocolate that makes you get thinner If you don't mind raining lard bombs from your bowels I spread my wealth All amongst the homeless In the form of pure ethanol I told the world I had the cure for cancer Then I told the press that you simply had to pray I lay awake Fists clenching and unclencing Silently screaming as tears bleed from my eyes.

I'm not leaving til one of us smiles No pressure mind I've a human reaction to find Or to define Or maybe this defines me Tralalala Fingers in my ears It doesn't mean much to me Doesn't mean much to me So, singing jaunty songs like I am (Are people dancing?) Well I hope they are cos that was the plan (Or at least bouncing?) It's fair to say my plans are not best laid (To say the least) I've unassumed to ruin your day (Sorry) Ruin your day No options left for me to exhaust Shall I see you at 4am? Why yes of course Scatter words like sodium lights I thought we needed Look at the light in the sky Do you get my meaning?
